Vybz Kartel Goes Billboard
He’s done it again. Yes the entertainer that’s still behind bars that can create and orchestrate a hit out of thin air. His name is Adidja Palmer aka “Vybz Kartel”. We are not here to question how he does it but to applaud him on this bitter sweet victory of having one his songs make it to the R&B Billboard Charts. The bitter of not getting the opportunity to see and hear how the crowd reacts to one of your songs that might just be your biggest hit.
The hit song “FEVER” which came out in 2016 has found life in more ways than one. Its now been remixed and is being played like it just came out a week ago. The radio stations globally have found a liking and a platform for the single. The single debut on the Billboard R&B Hip Hop Airplay chart this week at no. 50. Not a new comer to chart success he had scored a hit with “Romping Shop” a duet with female artist Spice.
The track was taken from the album “King Of The Dancehall” which was produced by TJ Records. (Known for producing hits like with Movado “I’m So Special”, Serani “No Games”.)
The album which has sold over 4,500 copies to date is set to get a reboot as the single climbs the charts globally. The single has already racked up a combined 55 million views on YouTube and is making its rounds on various mediums.
Incarcerated but free via his music. He’s presently on appeal for a murder sentence and all is left up to the courts.
